A quick one

Ah.. the 5 day holiday is coming to an end already.. So fast.. National day is over, I think it was slightly over hyped... but then again, I never really enjoyed the performances, was just looking forward to the parade and total defence showing off their stuff.. like commandos rappelling down the bridge.. Which I didn't get to see cause either a) the camera man's an idiot, b) the camera spoil or c) er.. i dunno...

Well anyway, speaking of national day and all those patriotic songs, I must say that if there's one great thing about Singapore, then it's stand on racial and religious issues. Lol, yea sure, maybe it's cliched, cheesy and a sensitive issue, but read a certain staple section in the newspapers that starts with M and is not Money enough and well, generally I end up being thankful I live here and not there. Happy B'day Singapore! Now if only GST was lower... heh

So yes, went for the PAE thingy yesterday and then stayed back in school to mug.. and in the end my brain just went numb.. Could only think about physics and mugging and how there's not enough time.. Pretty cool experience actually, being aware that your brain's starting to malfunction and slowly slip into a slight state of panic. But fortunately, it didn't last too long.. Dinner seemed to fix it lol. But I think I may have been kinda weird as a result, so my apologies people..

At the end of it all, I arrive at a conclusion. Why worry when you can spend the time mugging? But then mugging too long is detrimental to mental health. Hah. So as a result, this post is born. Yay. Now back to mugging and sleeping. Whee.

Chek Jawa

But before that, how could I forget about the great sushi buffet experience we had yesterday! Ah, my first time leh.. lol. Not too bad lah, went to Suki Sushi at Cine with Willy, Wen Hao, Miki, Sun Lu, Cherie and Yiwen.. The rest all decided they didn't like sushi or were vegetarian or were broke or maybe preferred mugging more?!?!?!!!! So just nice one table. We ate for about 3 hours and I conclude that sashimi's quite nice (cept the tuna which is a little weird), the biggest and smallest appetite award both goes to the guys lol =s And yes, we're all a little fatter heavier now.

So yes, on to Chek Jawa today. Arranged to meet at Tanah Merah station first and I was 5 mins late though erm... I live er... you know where lah.. Paiseh.. But well, eventually we reached the jetty 1 hour later *cough**cough* lol X) and met willy and woo han there. Then we had brunch and took a bump boat there...

It's been a month since I last blogged, but since the date was so nice and there National Day celebrations today, might as well blog it. Not bad lah, they rolled IHC closing, Promethean Ceremony and National Day celebrations all into one (supposedly first ever) evening school event. And in return, we don't need to have so many ceremonies and hey! We get National Day eve off!

Gotta admit though the school is pretty stingy with their day offs, but they're still pretty fair. Last year they took our Sat and returned us Mon(official opening), so this year they took our evening and returned us morning. BOP equilibria. Yay.

So the event was pretty interesting, cept the Mr and Ms Singapore.....RJC thing which was just "er........" as good as the Z'King and Z'Queen we had for last year's orientation lah..<>.<>Apart from that it's more patriotic songs, videos and speeches. Oh, and a funky laser show. Quite cute, 1963 you see a hand shake, 1965 the hand shake ends.

In other news, school is crazy, mugging season has officially kicked off. Everyone's mugging like crap, including a certain closet mugger*cough* and well, the whole back row...<>.<>Haiz.

Oh well, that's gonna do it for now, there's Chek Jawa learning journey tomorrow. Kinda looking forward to it actually, should be fun. But then again, there's the need to mugggg.. Haiz. What a pity for such a fantastic week. Oh well..
