Bam!

After a long day of cycling, I'm now all washed up and comfortably sitting in front of my com listening to instrumentals of movie soundtracks while waiting for me to get sleepy enough for bed. It's been a tiring day, my legs have already started to ache slightly, and everyone has gone to sleep. It almost feels wonderful being comfortably warm while the night gets colder and the music creates a bar-like atmosphere.. Ok, my imagination's going a bit into overdrive already, but it's a multitude of feelings for me right now.

I just did some blog surfing before this and checked out the photos that vaish uploaded onto her facebook photo album. Haha, she took so long that they stretch back to almost a year ago and looking at them just seems to bring back all those memories. Admittedly I do reminisce a bit too much than I'd like to, but boy were things so much different then. Most of us even looked different, and it's been barely a year.

Ah, now we're all j3s already and as enlistment draws nearer and nearer the reality seems to sink in deeper and deeper. In fact, the first time it really struck me was when I had to cut through RJ after going to Xavier's house. I was in my CVs then and the feeling was like "shit, I don't belong here anymore.." And then at New Year Countdown at the padang, it finally hit hard, adding a sense of bitterness to that otherwise joyous moment with the dawn of a new year; a new chapter. But yes, it was NS in a week, standard formal education is over, every action I take now will probably have a greater impact on my life than ever before.

I'm not one to dread graduation and stuff because while we'll each go our separate ways as we pursue and hopefully achieve our dreams, there's no real parting per se because hey, as long as you really want to, you can always go out some day and there's always MSN (one of the greatest imperfect inventions no doubt). But then 2008 came and I finally realise that with NS and people going to overseas and such, it's really going to be harder than it seems. Haha, guess it all really depends on how much you want it. Hopefully like in the song and on the class blog, we'll be able to hold on together..

Have a wonderful 2008 everyone.
