Sometimes I think I'm doing it all wrong.
Sometimes I wish I could hit the pause.
Sometimes I want a clean slate to start over.
But then life's a constant flow that only stops when it ends.
Change has to be gradual.
The river can't u-turn, but it can turn around.
Oh won't someone just tell me the right course.

Reunion
Finally after god knows how long, we had our most complete outing yesterday with 100% attendance less nk who refused to try cycling again. But to his credit, he would probably have killed us if we dragged him along the screwed up routes that we took. See, we tried out 1 or 2 of the newly built mountain bike trails in Ubin which had "beginner" tracks that looked like this
(The track's not visible cause it's covered by vegetation and looks like it was made by soldiers bashing through in boots.)
to expert tracks like "Overshot" which we couldn't find at first even though it was right in front of us cause... who on earth was expecting this?!:
So we gave up on those and went back to the more normal cycling routes which led us to see wild boars, a mountain bike crash site and thnx to weeps vast knowledge of the place, great scenery like this:
(The fruit of our labourious climb which was practically a page out of our Navigation days in the army)
So the day gave way to a nice sun set and tksspm parts indefinitely once again. I don't think we'll likely have another outing like this soon with the busy and different lives that we have. But it was fun, and somewhat heartenining that after RO and all this time, when we did, it was kinda like before.
There're probably other reasons.. but hey, Munchkins anyone? :D

If today was your last day
Everytime I listen to this song, I think of how I really should carpe diem. But I still feel lost every now and then. And when I'm not, I'm distracted by Britain's Got Talent (BGT). Wanted to write a piece on the aware saga and one of my pet topics.. which shan't be disclosed yet.. but then I realised that another episode of BGT was now available on youtube.
It's seriously the best variety show I've seen so far, cause these people DO have talent!! There are some jokers but with people like susan boyle, jamie pugh (who did another fantastic les mis number!) and sue son.. I'm in love with this show. Ah.. it does chase the lost feeling away for awhile.

6 months more!
6 months later this day, I'll become a civilian and be free again!
Now, I'm not the anti-authority rebel and I take little issue with most laws and other rules that govern the way we live. But take it further to regimentation and I'm afraid I simply cannot learn to not hate. Sure it has it's purpose and I can accept it, but it's just like one of those things that you simply cannot learn to get used to. There are just some freedoms which are more important than others.
So truth be told, although it's rather fun to be where I am and the journey thus far has taught me many things, I still look forward to the day where I make my own decisions again; walk the path I choose.
Turn back time and I'd pretty much do everything the same. But ask me if I'd go through it again and that's a different story.
Let the countdown begin!

The great enemy of clear language is insincerity. When there is a gap between one's real and one's declared aims, one turns as it were instinctively to long words and exhausted idioms, like a cuttlefish spurting out ink. - George Orwell
In one word: Smoking.
Well, not so much insincerity towards the person I think, but rather towards the topic at hand.
Still, I'm surprised at the pin-point accuracy of the most common technique I never realised, though I, and most people too, have been guilty of..
